IONIA. Magnesia ad Maeandrum. Circa 150-140 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 35 mm, 16.89 g, 1 h), Apollodoros, son of Kallikrates, magistrate. Diademed bust of Artemis to right, with bow and quiver at her shoulder. Rev. AΠOΛΛOΔΩPOΣ / KAΛΛIKPATOY - MAΓNHTΩN Apollo standing left on maeander pattern, holding filleted laurel branch with his right hand and leaning his left elbow on a tall tripod behind him; all within laurel wreath. Jones 4b. Pozzi 2462. Nicely toned. Struck from a somewhat worn obverse die and the reverse somewhat double struck, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
